Conn electronic pipes were developed for a reason. As more real pipe organs in churches were becoming very expensive to service  electronic organs were been seriously looked at as a viable replacement. Studies had shown that if a pipe organ and its pipes have been removed and replaced with an electronic organ without pipes, the congregation found it hard to accept that it sounded like an organ.

Enter Conn organ pipes....placed in a church the congregation saw pipes and immediately accepted they were listening to a real organ. The pipe were actually 4 6X9 speakers placed under the pipe façade and the sound came through the pipes.

7 pipe designs were produced, 3 were made in left and right and bass bins with inbuilt Leslie speakers were also made. 2 were used as surround and rear speakers and were smaller.
