From the cover:
Dirk's musical career commenced at the age of seven on the piano, primarily studying Jazz. At twelve years of age, serious organ studies commenced under the guidance of one of Australia's famous and leading recording artists - Wilbur Kentwell.

Success was soon forthcoming, and four years later Dirk Leonard was the outright winner of one of Australia's leading Organ Festivals, and followed this great achievement exactly one year later by winning the Australian Senior Championship, resulting in a journey overseas to compete in an International Festival.

This, to some degree, caused Dirk to develop somewhat of a travel bug, and with further education and experience in mind, he packed his bags and set sail for The United States of America. Goals set, the results were achieved relatively quickly by working with a major organ company
for two years.

On tour, the concert stage now became a reality, a challenge, but even more so, a complete fulfilment of adventure and success to a wide-eyed and ambitious young man. Says Dirk, “Working amongst some of the best performers in the world really makes you produce your best, and in a short six months, my standard improved dramatically. I owe much of my success to this period of my career.”

His love of music and organ in particular, now finds this brilliant artist joining the ranks of the world famous innovators of electronic organs - Hammond, and future performances of this renowned entertainer will bring joy to millions of music lovers throughout Australia.
